| Description: | Since attendance and awareness of the evaluation structure are keys to good student performance, I provide 10-15 in-class exercises which I discuss in class, collect, and record (but do not grade). Students present for all receive a substantial extra-credit bonus and they have an incentive to attend from the start of the term. They also report that they know how to prepare for exams. Each term approximately 70% of students receive the bonus and class morale is very good. | |||||
