  Description: I prepare a series of Power Point lecture notes for the semester that are bound and available to students to assist in note taking. Slides include key headings, major ideas, and relevant diagrams to reduce the amount of note taking required in class. Exercises are not included on the slides so that students take an active role in completing exercises in class. In class, I use a document camera and I solve problems on the powerpoint printouts using a felt pen. This approach is a hybrid between the use of pure Powerpoint and the use of a white board, and seems to achieve the advantages of both.
